Room, Garden, Threshold
During the first semester of architecture school is when most of the conversion takes place. They invest an incredible amount of time changing the way we think of space, and how a space can impact a person's experience. By defining a space without using items that would belong in that space we were able to come up with all new ways to think about what a room, garden, or threshold really are.
Light
Light is one of the most influencial elements of a space. Learning how to manipulate light and use it to create dynamic and powerful effects in a space was one of the most useful things I learned in design school. Using it to show hierarchy as well as create beautiful dynamic lighting, this series shows just how powerful light can be.
